O'Reilly Industries, LLC
evolved from the agricultural operations of O'Reilly Shamrock Farms in
1971. Key events would influence the forming and growth of our
manufacturing businesses throughout the '70's, '80's and beyond.
1972-O'Reilly Shamrock Farms goes organic
1973-O'Reilly Manufacturing applies for manure spreader
patents on the OR/BILT spreader.
1975-John Deere (Deere Inc.)
purchases key manure spreader patents from Joseph and Daniel O'Reilly.
1975-Shamrock Farms debuts Midwest's biggest baler.
1978-John Deere debuts Hydra-Push manure spreader, based off of
the OR/BILT spreader.
1988-John Deere surpasses 30,000 Hydra-Push manure spreaders
sold worldwide.
